Most paintings i start i never finished. These are mostly the ones that are more or less finished. Or at least given up on.

Like the title says, these are a few sketches and drawings found hidden in sketchbooks form over the years.

Often when i'm needing an illustration of someone for some bit of work i'm doing i'll grab the nearest friend and ask them to do something that probably feels pretty stupid in the scheme of things. This is a collection mostly out of context of some of those images.

In March, 2008 I had moved back to London after an absence of seven or so years and began the unenviable task of looking for a room. I wanted to live in pretty much the same area i had previously been living in but in the intervening years the prices had risen pretty much on par with the cultural kudos which itself was way overblown. So after having looked at at least ten depressing flats i decided to turn the process into a little project and started taking photos and doing little illustrations of the people i was meeting in each flat i looked at. These are the results...

These images are part of a larger social research project looking at the cultural significance of the moustache in both popular culture and politics.
